Every year during the annual Wizard of Oz Festival, we have special activites and games to include children and families.  2019  Festival Will be June 8th. Please check back for an updated list of events.

  • Wizard of Oz Play

    Join a wonderful cast as we journey to the "Land of Oz". This musical is put on by younger perfomers from "Young at Art" theater company. Shows times are Friday, June 7th & Saturday, June 8th 7pm at the Reif Center. Tickets are $10 and available at the museum!



  • Reading of Wizard of Oz
    Join Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion for a reading of the "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" Commemorative Pop Up Book at the Grand Rapids Public Library June 8th at 10:30 am
    This is a FREE, fun event for all ages!

    Wizard of Oz

    See the classic 1939 "Wizard of Oz" film in our art room FREE! Bring a blanket to get comfortable! Snacks will be available to purchase.                    Movie will start at 2pm

  • Dash for the Ruby Slippers 5K
    Run or walk (Returning 2020)

    Saturday Starting at 8:30 am from the Museum. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. Prizes are awarded for best dresses, and 1st-3rd place finishers.

  • Emerald City Festival

    Saturday Starting at 11 am ending at 2pm in front of the Museum. Meet and photograph characters from "The Wizard of Oz", scavenger hunts, art exploration, and tornado tubes!
